Who Am I?
The question above is a great one. Here’s the answer…
I am a lot of things outside of being an illustrator and graphic designer. It’s wild, but I do have a life outside of my work.
I live a nomadic life. I am originally from the US. I grew up in a remarkable small town in Northern Michigan that sits on Lake Michigan (pictured below). But when I was 18, I said hmmm… I'm going to go to Florence, Italy, and study there for some years. Fast forward, and I live in the south of England at the seaside. Where will I be in the next years? That is a mystery to me, but for now, I am bouncing back and forth between Italy and the UK.
The photo above says a lot about me. First, I love dogs. This guy's name is Floki; he is my partner's dog but also mine (don't tell my partner). Second, I love nature, from freshwater lakes and rivers to forests at the foot of the mountains. Where I grew up had a massive impact on me, which is why nature is a huge part of my life. Oh, and I love unique five panel hat designs.
Now, when I am not flying around or hanging with the fluff ball (the dog), I love to spend my time trail running. Around 19, I became slightly (terribly) obsessed with ultra running. Since then, I haven't been able to spend a day without thinking about running. Some call it a problem, but I like to think about it as a really, really big passion.
So, that is me summed up in the shortest way possible. I may be missing a few things, but if I were to include everything, you'd be reading a book, not a paragraph or two.
I hope you enjoyed it, and I look forward to getting to know you.
Have a lovely day, evening, or weekend, maybe even a Monday. I guess it depends on when you read this. Anyway, see you soon.
